Changing the wheel means more than just replacing the wheels:

A wheel change should be done twice a year, in order to ensure optimal road grip. The wheels should be changed in spring and autumn. At Easter, you can stow the winter tyres, from October, the summer tyres should be removed again.

If your tread is too low, an incorrectly fitted wheel nut, or a lack of even distribution tyre positions: many factors that are essential for your safety and can easily be overlooked. Our experts can do this for you to ensure your safety on the road.

Whenever a tyre is changed, our specialist team can also take a visual look at the brake system of your car. This can make you aware of any signs of wear at an early stage and, if necessary, recommend a brake test.

When should the tyres be replaced?

The legislature prescribes a minimum tread depth of 1.6 mm; if the tread is more worn out they may be deemed illegal. For safety reasons, however, the tyres should be replaced much earlier. Therefore, you should check the profile regularly, at least every time you change tyres.

A too low tread depth leads to a significant extension of the braking distance and the risk of aquaplaning increases with increasing wear of the tyre tread. We therefore recommend replacing summer tyres with a tread depth of 3 mm and winter tyres with 4 mm or more.
